Position Overview: We're seeking a talented and passionate Sushi Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a deep respect for traditional sushi techniques while also being open to our signature fusion approach. You'll be responsible for crafting beautiful, delicious sushi dishes that uphold the high standards of the SuViche brand. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and execute all sushi menu items with consistency, efficiency, and attention to presentation. Maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in all prep and kitchen areas. Manage inventory of sushi-related ingredients, ensuring freshness and minimizing waste. Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth coordination and timely service. Provide excellent customer service and engage with guests when needed (e.g., at sushi bars or events). Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, if applicable. Requirements: Proven experience as a sushi chef or in a similar role. Deep knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and food safety standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Attention to detail and a strong sense of presentation. Passion for food, creativity, and delivering a top-tier customer experience. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Nikkei or Peruvian cuisine. Culinary certification or training is a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus. Why Work with Us?
