Job Description

A full-time Special Education Teacher is sought to lead a self-contained middle school classroom in Prescott Valley, AZ. This contract position is for the current school year and offers the opportunity to support a classroom of 11 students with the assistance of two paraprofessionals. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, providing a focused and impactful teaching environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for middle school students
• Manage a self-contained classroom setting, adapting instruction to meet diverse student needs
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals to ensure effective classroom support and student engagement
• Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with families and staff
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere for all students

Qualifications:

• Active Arizona Special Education teaching license required
• Experience working in middle school special education settings preferred
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills
• Ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary teams
