Job Description

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support a middle school self-contained classroom in Mayer, AZ. The role involves working with a small, dedicated group of 11 students alongside two paraprofessionals in a structured learning environment. This position operates on a Monday through Thursday schedule, four days a week, providing a consistent and engaging educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support to middle school students with special needs
• Implement and adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning requirements within a self-contained classroom model
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals to maximize student progress and classroom management
• Maintain accurate records of student development and communicate effectively with families and educational teams
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Active Arizona Special Education License is required
• Experience working within middle school special education settings preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with paraprofessionals and administration
