A Propane Delivery Driver at CHS Inc. is responsible for safely delivering propane to local customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while complying with all local, state, and federal regulations. The role includes working extended hours during peak seasons and assisting warehouse staff as needed. A valid Class A CDL and experience in trucking or operations are required, with opportunities for hazmat endorsement and other certifications.

Summary

CHS is looking for a Propane Delivery Driver to join our team- we are looking for someone to work out of either our Havre or Chinook location! This individual will deliver propane to local customers in the area. The schedule for this role is Mon- Fri, daytime hours. There will be overtime opportunities during the winter, and could be some occasions where afterhours or weekend work is needed depending on the volume.

No hazmat? No problem! We are willing to help the right individual obtain their hazmat endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and on time deliveries to our customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. To include but not limited to pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement and hours of service.
• Assist in the warehouse when not delivering product.
• Work extended hours in-season to meet business demands.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions
• Assist warehouse staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• Class A CDL
• 2+ years of experience in operations or trucking
• Must meet minimum age requirement
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals

Additional Qualifications

• Hazmat, Tanker and Air Brake endorsements preferred
• Must meet DOT and Company requirements
• Ability to work additional hours and occasional Saturdays to meet business demands
• Bulk liquid experience preferred
• Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry up to 80 lbs, walk, stand, sit, bend, and kneel

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
