The Role: Hospitalist Advisor
We are seeking an experienced Hospitalist Advisor to provide clinical expertise, market insights, and strategic guidance on potential investments. The Hospitalist Advisor will play a critical role in evaluating healthcare startups, assessing clinical viability, and advising on business models that align with real-world hospital operations and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a Hospitalist Advisor to evaluate investment opportunities in digital health, telemedicine, AI-driven clinical tools, and healthcare service models.
Provide clinical insights on startups' solutions, ensuring they align with hospital workflows, patient needs, and regulatory requirements.
Assess the scalability, reimbursement potential, and adoption challenges of new healthcare technologies.
Participate in due diligence processes, reviewing clinical evidence and healthcare impact.
Offer strategic guidance on product-market fit, hospital partnerships, and commercialization strategies.
Engage in discussions with founders, investors, and industry stakeholders to enhance decision-making.
Represent the firm at healthcare conferences, investor meetings, and networking events.
Qualifications
Board-certified hospitalist (MD or DO) with at least 5 years of experience in hospital-based medicine.
Strong understanding of hospital workflows, reimbursement models, and healthcare innovation trends.
Interest in venture capital, startups, and healthcare technology.
Prior experience in advisory roles, healthtech consulting, or clinical leadership preferred.
Ability to analyze complex clinical and business models and communicate insights effectively.
