As a full-time CST you will work Monday - Friday, 6:30a - 5:00p with a rotating day off, i.e. Tuesday off this week, Wednesday off the following week, Thursday off the next week, etc. Every four weeks you will get a 4-day weekend due to having Friday and Monday off on the rotation. There is some call required which is typically 2-3 days a month, with 1 weekend call every 6-8 weeks or so. This position comes with our full benefits package and is eligible for our rewarding quarterly benefits!
The Certified Surgery Tech holds a safety sensitive position, and provides aid in functions that help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient. He/she understands the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.
